Career Awareness Programs in Schools & Colleges

At Youth Career and Development Hub (YCDH), we believe that early career guidance can change the future of a generation. In Bangladesh, most students complete their education without clear guidance on career options, skill requirements, or job market realities. This often leads to wrong career choices, unemployment, or underemployment.

To bridge this gap, YCDH conducts Career Awareness Programs across schools and colleges — both in urban and rural areas. Our programs are designed to help students explore career opportunities, understand future job market demands, and develop essential life and employability skills.

What We Offer:

  • Career Seminars & Workshops
Interactive sessions led by industry experts, career counselors, and successful professionals.

  • Skill Development Workshops
Basic training on soft skills, communication, leadership, and IT literacy.

  • One-on-One Career Counseling
Personalized guidance for students to discover their strengths and set realistic career goals.

  • Career Pathway Guidance
Information on academic pathways, vocational training, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and job market trends.

  • Green Initiatives for Youth
Engaging students in social responsibility projects and green initiatives to build leadership and community skills.

Our Impact So Far:

✅ Hundreds of students across Rangpur and Northern Bangladesh have benefited.

Project Proposal

School/College Based Career Awareness and Skill Development Project

Initiative by: Youth Career and Development Hub

Background:

At present, a large number of students at the SSC and HSC levels are becoming increasingly indifferent toward their future careers. They are spending excessive time on mobile phones, engaging in online gambling, skipping classes, losing respect for teachers, ignoring parental guidance, and showing little to no interest in skill development. This situation is alarming and poses a long-term threat to our nation’s human resource development.

To address this growing crisis, the Youth Career and Development Hub has initiated a school/college-based Career Awareness and Skills Development Program, aiming to create future-ready, responsible, and skilled young individuals. This proposal is designed for implementation in one school or college, and donors may choose to fund one or multiple institutions based on their interest and capacity.
