Bangladesh stands at a pivotal moment in its demographic journey, with a vibrant youth population exceeding 55 million — nearly one-third of the nation’s total.
Launched in April 2025, the YCDH Youth Platform serves as a dynamic catalyst for amplifying youth-focused initiatives under the YCDH umbrella. Rooted in YCDH’s strategic commitment to “investing in the next generation,” the platform is purpose-built to empower young people to thrive in an era marked by rapid change, complexity, and global interconnectivity.
With a forward-thinking vision, the YCDH Youth Platform is shaping a future-ready generation by building a responsive ecosystem that supports young individuals through critical life transitions. Whether navigating education, entering the workforce, or embracing civic responsibilities, we aim to ensure youth are equipped with the mindset, tools, and networks they need to succeed.
At the heart of this movement is our flagship initiative — the Career Awareness Program (CAP). This signature intervention provides structured exposure to diverse career pathways, fostering informed decision-making, practical readiness, and lifelong adaptability.
By bridging aspiration with opportunity, the YCDH Youth Platform is not just preparing youth for the future — we’re empowering them to shape it.
WHAT WE DO
At present, a large number of students at the SSC and HSC levels are becoming increasingly indifferent toward their future careers. They are spending excessive time on mobile phones, engaging in online gambling, skipping classes, losing respect for teachers, ignoring parental guidance, and showing little to no interest in skill development. This situation is alarming and poses a long-term threat to our nation’s human resource development.
To address this growing crisis, the Youth Career and Development Hub has initiated a school/college-based Career Awareness and Skills Development Program, aiming to create future-ready, responsible, and skilled young individuals. This proposal is designed for implementation in one school or college, and donors may choose to fund one or multiple institutions based on their interest and capacity.
